Times are changing in all aspects of life, not only with daily things but things we all miss from the past. Something I miss is seeing meat unwrapped, not piled on supermarket shelves ect. However in Trench they have Malcolm Wickstead to supply their meat. You enter the small shop with the feeling of the past. The meat is cut and displayed in the old way, and you are greeted with old style charm. Meat is first class for taste, a small selection of deli meats is available and a few additional needs as well. I had my taste changed there also, buying what I thought was minted pork, I found out it was lamb which I don't like, until I tried it and it was delightful. If they do not have what you want on display it is no trouble to prepare it or order for you. They will deliver if necessary to you at home, but not with the old delivery cycle that is outside the shop. I recommend you call, but you will really appreciate it when cooked on Sunday..
